Hey, I’m a marine and molecular biologist with a strong background on embryonic development and evolution. I’m passionate about different forms of knowledge transfer (outreach, informal discussions, mentoring, teaching, collaborations) and a believer of open science for all.
I strongly believe the saying that “a picture is worth a thousand words” is a must for modern science, thus I love to create schematics and engaging figures (check some of my creations). I’ve been using unconventional animal models for my entire career as I believe these animals hold the basis to develop medical, engineering, and societal interventions in a near future.
I'm very fond of CRISPR/Cas9 and I've been developing extensive applications of this technique in the lab. I started applying CRISPR/Cas9 in Nematostella vectensis and troubleshooting its application for the last 4years +. So if are about to start doing CRISPR in your favorite unconventional model, just send me a message, I certainly have a few ideas for you!
Currently, I’m working as a teaching assistant at Sorbonne University and my research focus on the evolution of nervous system and its regeneration.
I’m always happy to chat about my research, my future projects, but also about how to develop and implement CRISPR/Cas9 on new organisms. Please feel free to contact me!
